The 15th edition of the ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival, which will take place in Ourém from the 25th to the 28th of October, has already drawn up its short list: there are 71 finalist films for the 2022 edition, representing many countries. This shortlist of finalist films results from the individual evaluations of the 34 members of the International Jury, made up of experts from 17 countries.
It will be possible to see the best tourism films produced in the world on the big screen of the Ourém cinema, including documentaries, promotional videos and TV programs.
With the award of prizes in two parallel competitions – national and international -, the ART&TUR festival is an unique event among tourism film festivals worldwide, and represents Portugal in the international circuit of the 10 tourism film festivals (CIFFT) that establishes the ranking of the best tourism films globally.
The city hosting ART&TUR 2022 is Ourém, but some important initiatives extend to the Médio Tejo region, namely the cultural program for Festival guests and the ART&FACTORY and Blogging Médio Tejo competitions. Within the scope of ART&FACTORY, teams of creatives will compete, live, between the 18th and 25th of October, for the production of the best film about the Médio Tejo, to be screened in front of the public and the festival’s jury on the 27th. of October. The competition Blogging Médio Tejo, an initiative implemented in partnership with the Association of Portuguese Travel Bloggers (ABVP), will result in the announcement of the best publication in text and photography dedicated to the Médio Tejo.
