Adventure of a lifetime – Home to Formosa Rock Monkeys (Taiwan)

Realização: Mr. Seanwen Yang; Produção: Mr. Seanwen Yang; Localização: Shoushan National Nature Park; The purpose of the film is to raise public awareness on the peaceful way to co-exist between human and monkeys. The Shoushan National Nature Park is the small mountain outside city suburb. With its ample natural environment; it is also an important habitat for Formosa Macaques. Over the time, the overlapped living spaces between human and monkeys the random feedings from the visitors have largely impact on the behaviors of Formosa Macaques and caused constant conflicts.

She knows the right place for each tree, each mountain, each cloud, each bird, each breath of wind, each person. Nature knows, since we’re part of it, we know too, or at least we should know. It seems we’re forgetting… The time has come to remember who we are, where we come from and what we are here for.

At its heart we find the island of Mallorca, one of the cradles of mass tourism, visited each year by almost as many tourists as 3 of the Caribbean’s top destinations combined: Cuba, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. Now, high pollution levels, the destruction of virgin landscapes, diminishing natural resources and over-development. What was once the “Island of Calm” is now on the verge of collapse.
