O Principino (Italy)

Realização: Aldo Di Russo;Produção: Cine3 Vittorio Muscia;Localização: Capri – Naples;It is the true story of a child who was a pupil of Emilia Gubitosi. The film is set in the timeless Naples reconstructed in computer graphics starting from the Neapolitan water colors of the Grand Tour in which the black and white images of the 40s and 50s are set. A reconstruction that brings history out of time, into the era of the myth while preserving flavors, colors and the smell of roasted coffee on the balcony that still fills the air of those alleys. The reconstruction exalts the amazement of the child who lived until the day before on the small island of Capri and never went into the town.

Love Rituals: In Japan (Japan / Germany)

Realização: Petra Dorrmann;Produção: André Schäfer;Localização: Tokyo, Kawasaki;In the episode LOVE RITUALS in Japan, Charlotte Roche visits the Kanamara Matsuri in Kawasaki. Once a year, big phalls are carried through the streets, girls suck on penis lollipops and boys on sugar vaginas, while elderly ladies from radishes make phalls and local party leaders bow to wooden picks. It is an ancient ritual and it should anchor the knowledge of a healthy portion of sex in the minds of the Japanese.

Il Sogno Autunnale (Italy)

Realização: Aldo Di Russo;Produção: Cine3 Vittorio Muscia;Localização: Naples;The film is included in an exhibition celebrating Emilia Gubitosi’s idea to build “L’Associazione Musicale Scarlatti”. Emilia, one of the most influential musicians in Europe, is coming back after 100 years, to check her exhibition before the opening. She will find a “competitor”, a little girl with charisma who will accompany he towards quality music. The Villa that hosts the exhibition really exists, the one in the film is reconstructed in an imaginary way because it is the setting of a surreal story: it has been reconstructed in 3D and all the movements have been synchronized with the actors in motion tracking. The color palette was extracted from the watercolors of the time. It’s our idea of technologies: they are important and useful to the story if visitors can’t see them.

A Servant of Humanity (Philippines / Germany)

Realização: Kathleen Biermann-Jung / Andreas Jung;Produção: Kathleen Biermann-Jung / Andreas Jung;Localização: Philippines (Cebu City, Siquijor Island, Bohol);The general German pracitioner Dr. Norbert Enders has been working in the Philippine Slums for many years. He treats the Iocal residents of low-income households for free, using mainly alternative healing methods, such as Homoeopathy. The people there have grown closer to his heart and for many of them, the German doctor is the only medicinal help, because they cannot afford otherwise. He also helps young people on his small dream Island Siquijor to build their own existence, by supporting farming and the harvest of agricultural products. The “servant of humanity” is a role model for many people there and he is also a helper, trying to lessen the misery wherever he can.
